It is no deny that all of us want to be successful, but sometimes, we have to admit defeat. In my opinion, admitting defeat reveals that we confront the reality bravely and seek truth from facts. We should correctly understand and evaluate ourselves without any prejudice. In our life, we must strive to compete and fight for our goals, and we need great courage and perseverance to overcome failures. In fact, sometimes we should learn to give up. If we realize we are weaker than our opponents who are strong like stones, it is not beneficial for us to fight with them blindly. Instead, we should learn to give up and avoid sharpness so as to reduce unnecessary sacrifice. Besides, admitting defeat is not equal to failure, instead, it is temporary for us to make us stable; admitting defeat is not equal to giving up our pursuits, instead, it is important for us to inspect the situation again. Only if we can consider the situation, adapt ourselves to changing circumstances, alternate kindness with severity and learn to admit defeat, we can protect ourselves and become fierce forever. Admitting defeat is also a kind of self-recognition and active self-evaluation. When competing with others, we should both identify others’ advantages and understand our shortcomings at the same time. When we in the face of our disadvantages, we should learn to admit failures instead of throwing an egg at a rock so as to envisage them. It is not terrible to make mistakes or have shortcomings, but as long as you are willing to admit defeat and then inspect yourself, you will avoid making great mistakes; as long as you are willing to admit defeat, you can adjust the direction for your life in time so as to strive for opportunities and time to win. All in all, admitting defeat is a good strategy for you to totally get rid of unhealthy mentality, adjust your seat and purify your heart.
