Once a boy had a bad temper, so he almost got angry with everything and people around him. Every day he broke things and fought with neighbor’s children, which made his mother anguished. One day his father gave a pocket of nails to him and told him that every time when he got angry, he could hammer a nail on the fence of the back yard. On the first day, the boy hammered 37 nails. Gradually, the amount of nails reduced day by day, because he found it was easier to control his own temper than to hammer nails. One day, the boy didn’t lose temper any more and he told it to his father. At the time, his father said to him that from then on he should pull a nail out when he could control his temper. Day after day, he told his father that he pulled out all the nails. His father held his hand tightly, came to the back yard and said to him, “Well done, my good child, but look at the holes on these fences, which couldn’t restore any more. The words you say when you are in angry will leave scars like these nails. If you put a knife in a man, no matter how many times you say sorry to him, the scar will exist forever. The bitterness of our words is like the true wounds and we couldn’t bear them. When we communicate with our families, friends or colleagues, sometimes we hurt each other because of some persistence, which we couldn’t let it go, thus causing everlasting scar. If we could learn to treat others tolerantly, I believe we can receive many unexpected results. Last month, a friend sent a message to me and told me that she arrived at my city. At the time, I was busy doing my job, so I told her that I was ready to receive her in the weekends. Upon hearing that, she was upset and said that I wasn’t sincere to welcome her. To be honest, I was very angry, for I had promised to get together with her, but she refused restlessly. In the eyes of her, I should ask for leave to accompany her, however, in my opinion, I thought she was too arrogant to deal with. Although we haven’t gotten contact with each other from then on, I forgive her from the bottom of my heart. Finally, if you want to know more about stones, you can visit our stonebtb.
