Do you get used to reading in your daily life? As a quiet girl, I have been interested in reading books, magazines and novels in my childhood. Unlike many other girls, I don’t like reading romantic novel at all, instead, I enjoy reading stories or novels about successful people. Many people think it is very hard to be successful. But after reading so many stories about successful people, in fact, I find that they are also quite ordinary like us. The biggest difference is that they are very tough in bad situation and make every effort to do even trivial things well. Now I would like to tell you a story. Born in a poor family, the boy couldn’t afford to study at home, so he had to drop off and tried to support his old parents. Unlike other boys, he was unwilling to do farming at his hometown, instead, he applied for being a cleaner in a renowned company. He had to clean toilets and mop the floor day and night, but he complained nothing. Although his wage is low, he tried to save a sum of money and sent it to his parents. In order to comfort his parents, he told white lies to them that he got a good job and all the treatments were very satisfactory. Every night after work, he would feel sore and ache all over on the bed, but he said to himself that he should keep the toilets clean all the time. Therefore, he worked harder than any other cleaners. One day, the manager checked the conditions of toilets suddenly and found the toilets that were cleaned by him were much cleaner than others. When he walked into the toilet, he found its wall was very spotless and the water in the closestool was very clear. Then the manager asked him to his office and chatted with him. “Could you tell me how you keep the toilet so clean?” The manager asked curiously. “I haven’t done nothing special, but I just try my best to be responsible for my job. It is my duty to finish it well.” The young boy said sincerely. From then on, the manager had a deep impression on him and promoted him to be the supervisor.
