People with insomnia are very much likely to develop heart problems and other related complications like stroke. Experts say that people who get less than six hours of sleep per day have double chances of suffering from a heart attack or getting a stroke as compared to those who sleep more. If heart problems run in the family and insomnia symptoms are being observed, it is advised to seek medical attention right away. These recent findings are alarming since the majority of the adult population are only getting an average of 5 hours of quality sleep.
