"It was pretty difficult, but youjust have to try and settle your pitchers down, and I think theydid the best that they could." The Wildcats (21-5) scored first with two runs in the secondinning. Chloe Carr scored from third on a wild pitch and OliviaSmith drew a bases-loaded walk. Osbourn Park (20-3) tied the game in the third when Jessica Southscored from third on a wild pitch and Alexia Luiggi hit an RBIsingle. I knew we were in trouble becausethey can swing the bat." The Yellow Jackets battled back with two runs in the fifth and twomore in the seventh. They were led by Luiggi, who had three hitsand three RBIs, including a run-scoring single in the seventh.Heather Davies' RBI single made it 6-4. Pitcher Erica Field also had a big game as she finished with threeruns, two doubles and an RBI. "You might think that our pitching wasn't that good but ourpitching was fine," Clayton said. "They just swing thebat really well." The Wildcats loaded the bases with two outs in the bottom of theseventh, but were unable to score. "I had my hopes up. I was like, 'We got this one.'
