Almost everyone is looking for the fountain of youth so as to look and feel young. Science and modern technology have made this possible with the production of anti-aging products. There are also cosmetic procedures that can be done by a dermatologist. For those who cannot afford such expensive treatments, they can use home remedies instead to look young. It takes patience, effort, time, and the right regimen to achieve young-looking skin.

Wash your face with water and a gentle facial cleanser in the morning and at night. Remove make-up as this attracts bacteria to the face, which can then lead to acne breakouts. If you do have pimples or acne, use cleansers and creams with salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide to get rid of the bacteria inside the lesions.

Exfoliate your face once every week. The skin becomes dry and lifeless because of dead skin cells thus your face becomes older. Use a good facial scrub so as to make your face soft and fresh. If your face is not that sensitive, you can exfoliate two times a week. The skin in your body can be scrubbed using a loofah. After taking a bath, pat your body dry so as to leave moisture on the skin.

Moisturize your face everyday using an anti-aging moisturizer containing Phytessence Wakame, CoQ10, or keratin. These will safeguard your skin, enhance collagen production, and promote the growth of new cells. If your skin is oily, use creams with no oil. If it is dry, use creams with a richer formula. After taking a bath, moisturize your whole body with a lotion for it to absorb moisture. Make sure to use sun block or sunscreen daily for young looking skin.

Before you go to sleep at night, use a facial night cream. This shall renew your skin, repair skin that is damaged, slow down the aging of cells, minimize wrinkles, and enrich the skin with nutrients. Look for a cream containing active manuka honey, avocado oil, or shea butter.

There are also home remedies you can try to make your skin smooth and glowing. Make a paste with banana and milk and leave this on your face for twenty minutes. Another mask you can make is a mixture of honey and egg white which should also be left on the face for twenty minutes. You can also rub a piece of papaya on the face for fifteen minutes. Remove these with cool water afterwards.

Do facial exercises every day so as to soften lines, prevent wrinkles and revitalize the skin. Continuously move your facial muscles for a couple of minutes by constricting and then relaxing your smile, cheeks and forehead.

Eat a healthy diet with less starch and fat – these food components have glycemic index levels which hasten cellular aging. Consume food with fiber, vitamins and omega-3, as these moisturize the inner skin. Fish and whole grains will also make the face look vibrant and younger. Eat mostly fruits and vegetables as these are filled with antioxidants that fight wrinkles.

Increased blood circulation also helps you look youthful and this can be achieved with exercise. To get rid of eye bags and dark circles, get plenty of sleep. By following these tips, you will surely have young looking skin forever.
