Jesus is the perfect gentleman. One must have the anointing of Christ to be a true gentleman. Times change but a true gentleman never changes. His ways are of God. Being a gentleman is producing the true attributes of God in everyday life. 2 Corinthians 10:1 Now I Paul myself beseech you by the meekness and gentleness of Christ... Isaiah 40:11 He shall feed his flock like a shepherd: he shall gather the lambs with his arm, and carry them in his bosom, and shall gently lead those that are with young. The WOW Factor A gentleman is always cool, calm and collected in appearance, speech and actions. He is unnoticed until he is seen. When he is seen, he draws a response, "WOW, This is Christ walking." A gentleman has put on Christ as his vesture. He has let Christ arise in His heart. He has humbled himself to walk as a son of God. One must be taught how to be a true gentleman. His teacher is the Holy Spirit, who also is gentle. He will not bruise a single reed nor will he quench a smoldering flax. One will never know his presence unless He is invited and welcomed. Jesus came to start a revelation, the revelation of His Father, who also is gentle. Galatians 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness... Psalms 18:35 Thou hast also given me the shield of thy salvation: and thy right hand hath holden me up, and thy gentleness hath made me great. Gentleness will make one great in the earth. Not only does a gentleman open doors, but doors of opportunity will be open unto him. A gentleman also understands that someone's eternal destiny could hinge in his gentleness. Notice the scriptures below. 1 Thessalonians 2:7 But we were gentle among you, even as a nurse cherisheth her children: 2 Timothy 2:24 And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient, Titus 3:2 To speak evil of no man, to be no brawlers, but gentle, shewing all meekness unto all men. James 3:17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy. A Gentleman Is Humble A gentleman will humble himself to any occasion. He knows that his gentleness will always bring him the victory. His example is Christ. He makes himself equal with all men. He is never heady or high minded nor sees himself inferior, weather he is among the poorest of the poor or in the presence of kings. He is always the same. He is comfortable in all things. He understands that he bows to no man, except the Lord Christ, yet he submits to godly authority. A gentleman understands that he does not submit to anything ungodly. He keeps himself pure before the Lord Christ. Even though a gentleman keeps his mouth shut, his presence and greatness are known. His gentle gift will set him before great men. He understands that his gentleness shall make him great. If he misses the mark, a gentleman is quick to repent. He is slow to speak back to others in anger. He follows the example of Christ the Lord. When He was ridiculed, He opened not his mouth. No Reputation A gentleman needs not make a reputation for himself. His gentleness does that for him. A gentleman blends in, yet he stands out. A gentleman's dress is gentle to the eyes of others. His dress does not offend or make others uncomfortable in his presence. Philippians 2:7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men... A gentleman, taking God as his example, will offer his hand in assistance. Psalms 73:23 Nevertheless I am continually with thee: thou hast holden me by my right hand.
