Being diagnosed with breast cancer is never easy. It is one of the most devastating diagnoses a woman can ever receive. It is great to know that there are support networks out there to help you cope and give you hope as you struggle to become a survivor. One of these is the Ford Motor Company Warriors in Pink program. These "warriors" have recently released a movie called "Bang the Drum: Living Out Loud in the Face of Breast Cancer," which can be viewed on the company's website. This film features many stories from various courageous men and women who bravely survived their fight with breast cancer as well as the commitment of the Warrior's in Pink to continue fighting the disease since the program started nearly 20 years ago. The goal of the film is to help make the public aware of the position that Ford has taken on the fight against breast cancer as well as inspire others who have survived the disease to share their stories. It gives these brave men and women and arena to showcase the commitment that the organization has made for 18 years to fight breast cancer. They are very happy to spread the message and continue Ford's mission. The basis of the film, "Bang the Drum," is to share the difficult stories of the disease's victims with the world, what their diagnoses mean for them and their families, and how they beat the disease. It also tells each person's story and what they did to help fulfill their life's purpose. It also allows for other victims to make a connection with these courageous models who are willing to share their stories about how they coped with their diagnosis and treatments as well as their dependence on area support networks as they realized that there could be a life after surviving. Most people don't count on getting breast cancer, but it is helpful to know that there is a large support network out there of several companies that make it their mission to help fund cancer research. It also helps these courageous people show strength that they never knew they had through sharing their stories, which may help others, who may be struggling for survival. Not only does the commitment that Ford has made to fight breast cancer include these "warriors in pink" and helping raise funds, but also it helps encourage women to make sure that they are seeing their doctors on a regular basis.
