Some of the country's funniest touring comics will have you laughing off those lingering post-Thanksgiving calories with raucous and relatable stories about growing up Hispanic in America on Comedy Unfiltered, premiering December 4 at 10 p.m. ET on nuvoTV. Hosted by Will Rubio, the comedy special features the best bits from comedy club appearances by popular jokesters like Mexican-American funnyman Steve Trevino, a former writer for and performer on Carlos Mencia's Mind of Mencia; Chicago funnyman Alvin Williams, a veteran performer of multicultural comedy tours, including the Shades of Black Festival; and ex-Last Comic Standing judge Natasha Leggero. Also on board is hilarious Cuban comedian Jose Sarduy (top right), a seasoned U.S. Air Force officer-turned-professional stand up who has a knack for taking serious topics like deportation and surviving being shot at in two countries and effortlessly spinning the stories into comedy gold. "If there had been Cubans on the Titanic," says Jose, "everybody would have survived — You take that piano, you put it in the water, you can fit 16 people on that thing!" Comedy Unfiltered ‘s headliner is Latina comic Anjelah Johnson (lower right), a veteran entertainer who has appeared on hit shows like Ugly Betty and MADtv. Anjela closes out the show with an unforgettable set that will make you feel like you just received a shiny Rolex in your Xmas stocking when all you were really expecting was a lump of coal!
