male breast reduction not only enhance the physical appearance of the patient but also boosts the individuals self esteem and confidence. Although it is not affordable to everyone because of it's costs, it is the best procedure to carry out to those who can afford it and also because it takes a short period of time to carry out and also the healing period is short. ">Male breast reduction professionally called Gynecomastia is a term coined from a Greek word meaning women-like breasts. In most cases it is caused by use of some anabolic drugs like steroids, medications that have estrogen, marijuana and alcohol can also cause this condition. Also some medical conditions like cancer and impaired liver function can also lead to this condition. In most conditions men with enlarged breasts face a lot of problems with the way their bodies are. For example some may feel embarrassed and even have low self esteem. Therefore reducing these breasts have a lot of advantages to the individual with the problem as can be seen below. This breast reduction procedure can be done on any man irrespective of age who is physically fit and also emotionally stable. Those with firm breast are considered the perfect candidates for the procedure because after the surgery the breasts will get back in shape with the body contours. To overweight males they are discouraged from taking surgery but instead try exercising and see the difference. Male breasts that are enlarged can be reduced by a procedure called liposuction. In most cases this procedure can be conducted at an estimated time of two hours by applying local or general anesthesia. And incase of excess skin or fat, it will be removed. In some conditions, this reduction may involve both surgery and liposuction. In such conditions one expects bigger and visible scars after the procedure but in most cases, liposuction is the most performed procedure. With liposuction scars are small and in fact they are not visible. The benefits of this reduction of male breasts is that the results are permanent and also it makes the breasts flatter and firmer giving the male person self confidence and a boost in self esteem. In most cases men who face this problem are despised and laughed at and as a result they feel low and as a result have low self esteem. In most conditions it takes a very short time to perform and in a weeks time one is healed and can go on with his normal duties unless one is involved in very tiring jobs that require a lot of energy. It is normal after the reduction process for a scar to appear around the nipple area but this fades after some time. Also there is some swelling and burning like sensation that is common with surgery. To aid in the healing process, an individual is encouraged to put on elastic pressure garment and restrain from exposing the area to direct sunlight. In adverse conditions this reduction of male breasts may cause numbness, skin infections, fluid accumulation, and skin damage and to extremes bleeding may be possible. Incase of these conditions, post-operative asymmetry may be applied. To conclude, male breast reduction not only enhance the physical appearance of the patient but also boosts the individuals self esteem and confidence. Although it is not affordable to everyone because of it's costs, it is the best procedure to carry out to those who can afford it and also because it takes a short period of time to carry out and also the healing period is short.
