Cruise Holidays News Cruise industry is the most changing travel industry of them all. Today I am going to look at what is new there and what you should know about it. So, did you know that Norwegian Breakaway has an ice bar on the ship? No, then you are going to love my story. Please read it and enjoy it or you can always read more about cursing in CruiseHolidays.ie Blog. The nights are hot, but the vodka is cold…at Norwegian Breakaway’s Ice Bar! What a “cool” place this will be (sorry, I couldn’t resist)! The bar was designed with a bar, seating, and glasses made entirely from ice, and the room will feature ice sculptures of the Brooklyn Bridge, the Statue of Liberty, and the Chrysler Building. The bar will be kept at a constant 17 degrees Fahrenheit, but don’t worry; the cover charge includes use of a hooded parka and gloves, as well as two specialty drinks. And speaking of those drinks, they all have New York-themed name. Maybe you’d like to try a “Yellow Cab” (made from vodka, peach schnapps, and orange juice), a “Rock Center” (ice wine, vodka, blue Curaçao, and club soda), or the “Central Park” (citron vodka, ice wine, and lemon/lime soda). The Ice Bar will also serve two non-alcoholic beverages – the “Lady Liberty”, made of strawberry puree, pineapple juice and lemon juice, and the “Coney Island”, made with orange juice, vanilla ice cream and milk. Twenty-five guests will be able to chill at the ice bar at any one time, with entrance by reservation only. Even if you don’t want to stay and drink, stopping by for the photo ops is a must! The Norwegian Breakaway will begin weekly summer seven-day cruises to Bermuda on May 12. From October 2013 through April 2014, it will offer voyages from New York City to the Bahamas, Florida and the Southern Caribbean. This past weekend, Norwegian Cruise Line unveiled a Norwegian Breakaway interactive exhibit in the Grand Lounge of New York’s Radio City Music Hall, featuring a 1:100 scale model of the 4,000-passenger ship. Visitors have the opportunity to tour the exhibit to view the model and learn about Norwegian Breakaway’s features. Norwegian Cruise Line is the designated “Official Cruise Line” of the Rockettes, Radio City Music Hall and the “Official Partner” of the Radio City Christmas Spectacular. In one very special scene of the Christmas Spectacular, The Rockettes dance in front of the backdrop of Times Square, featuring a conspicuous “Cruise like a Norwegian” billboard! The Rockettes, one of New York’s most illustrious and beloved icons, will christen Norwegian Breakaway as the official Godmothers on May 8, 2013, further strengthening the ship’s strong ties to New York. Following that she will begin weekly summer seven-day cruises to Bermuda. As I said follow the news about cruising on Cruise Holidays website ;) http://www.cruiseholidays.ie/homepage.phtml#top_banner
