Lifting, rigging and suspending are all great uses for webbing slings and endless round slings. With effective working loads from 1000kg all the way up to 12000kg at standard and if required up to 300 tons! Only top quality UK made slings should be used when lifting, rigging and suspending especially in entertainment industries where rigging often takes place over peoples heads. Endless Round Slings are lifting slings with no ends. Usually measured by circumference in meters and feature working load limits to the customer's request usually starting at 1000kg minimum. Round sling products can be used to form a basket or choke lift loads where by the sling is used as a choke on the load so when it is lifted the tension is increased and the load is subject to extreme grip and lifting power. Another great feature about round slings is that they are the softest kind of sling and can be used in a wide variety of applications. Just because round slings are soft does not mean they are not as strong as chain slings or web slings, all slings are as strong as their working load limit stated on the identification tags attached to each sling, this is also stated on the certificate of conformity that should be shipped with every sling consignment. Endless round slings are favoured in theatre rigging where they are often fitted with steel insides to ensure they remain fire proof. Webbing slings are flat and made of polyester, they can be endless or standard with two eyes. Usually manufactured to a safety factor of 7:1, as this is the required factor of safety for lifting slings. Regular slings are manufactured to this standard with a double ply of material for extra protection. Double ply or commonly known as 'Duplex' are more common these days as insurance companies and other inspecting bodies recommend them. Duplex models are double thickness to ensure total load security up to the rated capacity. This also relies on the equipment being used correctly to the working load limits displayed on the blue tags attached. Webbing slings feature a flat eye each end as standard. Soft slings are more suited to lifting loads where the surface could easily be damaged, many riggers prefer chain or wire rope slings as alternative methods of rigging.
