Bosch Group has revealed, 2012 invested about 400 million euro to the core project of new energy vehicle, about 10% of its R & D expenses for the year. In the 25th World Electric Vehicle Exhibition (EVS 25), Bosch Group firstly shows its electric car total solution, including power train system components, lithium-ion battery system, brake system, charging equipment and so on. Bosch Group expects that annual sales of the global automotive will reach 100 million in 2018, Hybrid and pure electric car sales will reach 6 million, the market share from almost zero to leap to 6%. At present, Bosch has 800 employees dedicated to the field of hybrid and electric vehicle technology in the world; at the same time, it invested about € 400 million a year for the electrification of the power train. For "The Chinese government may require the foreign to transfer new energy vehicle technology to Chinese enterprises" and "The Chinese holding the new energy vehicle technology joint venture" of rumors, Yu-Dong Chen, executive vice president of Bosch (China) Investment Co., Ltd., said, Bosch will strictly follow the requirements of the Chinese government policy, and not because of government policies to give up some parts of the domestic new energy vehicles. The company set up a joint venture in China-- United Automotive Electronic Systems Co., Ltd. plans to amount produce drive motor and power electronic controllers used by electric vehicle in China in 2012, aimed to promote Chinese new energy automobile production process. Yu-Dong Chen said, "There are many factors restricting the electrification of the power train. The most notable problem is the battery energy density and cost. We expect that you can see the battery cost, volume and weight decreased, costs can be reduced by 50% in the next five years. The 30 kilowatt-hour battery cost is reduced from the current 12,000 euro to 8000 euro.
