Okay, maybe this isn’t the ideal topic to talk about when you are considering dance clubs in Houston, but trust me, it is something you may want to learn about. At one time or another, you are probably going to have too much drink one night at one of these dance clubs and end up in the restroom. While there is nothing quite like the cool feeling of porcelain against your face when you are getting sick, there really is some strategy involved if you want some peace, quiet and rest at the toilet to re-charge your batteries. It sounds silly, but there are some toilets that are much more comfortable to pass out on or fall asleep on when you are out on the town. Granted, this is not something you want to make a habit out of. I have probably done this way too many times in my lifetime, so I feel that I can share some of my wisdom with you should you ever find yourself in a similar situation. If you find yourself feeling woozy in the bathroom, make sure you can grab a stall. Typically at the dance clubs a stall can be hard to come by, but trust me, you need one. You don’t want to barf in the sink and then have to hang out there by it all night long. It’s bad enough you know how bad you feel; there’s no reason for every person who comes into the bathroom to know it too. Once you have the stall, check out and make sure you have a full roll of toilet paper. Sure, it’s handy for other reasons, but you may need it for a couple of things. First, it’s great for wiping your mouth instead of the sleeve of your shirt. Second, a full roll can make a great pillow for you to rest on. The best part is you don’t even have to take the roll out of the roller. If the roll is in the right position in the stall, you can sit on the toilet, rest your head on the roll, and take a little snooze. Sure, people are likely to come knocking on the door at some point, but the noises you’ll be making might be enough to keep them away. One thing to remember is that you aren’t going to be able to stay here for hours. Your friends will come looking for you at some point (if they are good friends anyway). All you can really hope for is that you can get a good power nap out of it to help take some of buzz away. Most dance clubs in Houston have pretty comfortable bathrooms, at least from my experience. My best advice to you is stay off the restroom floor, find a stall and get comfortable if you can. Take that thirty minute power nap and then you can be back out on the dance floor and at the bar.
