How to Reduce and Remove Pet Hairs When Doing Carpet Cleaning

Home Improvement,Fashion & Cosmetics,Crafts
If you have a dog or cat that sheds you know how tough a chore it can be to keep up after all that hair. Some breeds of dogs, especially short hair breeds have hair that stick into your carpet like fine little needles which are not easily removed by vacuuming.

Pet hair get everywhere and it can be almost impossible to clean. One of the hardest places to remove pet hair can be the carpet or a throw rug. Even the best vacuum has a hard time removing all of the pet hair from a carpet.

Cleaning floors, carpets and furniture can become a more arduous task than it already is. Vacuum cleaners are the obvious choice for house cleaning, but many times it has been noticed that the cat and dog hair do not get completely removed by the machine. Some useful tips for removing pet hair can save you time and money.

It sure is nice walking going from one room to another in our house while walking in a carpeted surface. Yet again this household ornament maybe like a live sucking vacuum sucking our pets hair when it starts rolling, running and tossing its body on it. When our pet's hair accumulate on the carpet the harder it is for us to take off, the more awful our home will look and the more subject for allergic reaction one can be. The following tips may be used in keeping our home pet hair free.

Aid yourself with the Brittle Brush/Comb Give your dog some hair brushing to make sure that you already took off the hair that he will eventually lose sooner or later during the day. With regard to the pet hair that has been stuck in your carpet floor you may start removing the hair through using a metal comb or bristle dog brush before and after you do your daily vacuuming. This will give you the luxury and benefit or saving time in cleaning. Use Rubber Gloves Vacuuming at times is not enough. One revolutionary use of the rubber gloves is its ability to grab and have the pet hairs attach on to it without any hardship on our carpeted floor. Dishcloth/Damp TowelTaking off our beloved pet's hair can be a very hard job. Try using a damp towel or dishcloth with water in your carpeted floor to snap out the pet hair sticking on to it. You may use a bucket of water together with your damp towel or rather dishcloth wherein you can always rinse and dry it when cleaning. Always make sure to dispose the hair and the water that you used in rinsing the damp towel so to make sure that the hair wont go back to where you took them.

How to Remove Pet Hair from Carpeting

1. You will need a lint brush. They can be found in the laundry accessories at most box stores, or online.

2. Test the lint brush first to see how it operates. When dragged in one direction, it will collect hair and lint; dragging it in the opposite direction will release the lint and hair for cleaning. There is usually an arrow or other indicator on the brush to show which way it should go. Be sure you are dragging the brush in the correct direction or it won't work!

3. Starting at one corner of the carpeting, drag the lint brush across the surface. Working in sections, make several passes over the carpet with the brush. Stop to remove the pet hair from the brush and make several more passes. Continue until the lint brush comes up clean, then move on to the next section.

If you are working over a larger area or are picking up a lot of pet fur, you may want to keep a bag with you to dispose of the removed pet hair every time you clean the lint brush.
