Many people think that hiring a professional and reliable auto shipping company is their only responsibility towards their vehicles, which is not the right approach. Transporting the vehicle to any other destination is a long process, which not only involves the selection of reliable auto mover but also preparing the vehicle and receiving it at the defined destination. If you have also hired an automobile mover for shipping services then still there is a lot of work to do. Some of the important steps that you have to focus are as follows: 1. Find out if your car has dents, dings, or damage. In case, it has then you should repair all of them. Keep in mind that any hole or passage allowing air inside the car will not be capable to avoid moisture and air, which will definitely ruin the interior of vehicle while transportation. 2. Wash your car and disable the alarm of your car. Before handing it over to the professional your hired for transportation services. 3. Usually, car movers are not legally authorized to ship personal belongings. Thus, if your car has any personal belonging of yours then remove it at once. Keep in mind that such belongings cannot be claimed under auto shipping insurance. 4. Do not forget that the fuel tank of your car should not be full. Filling 1/4th tank will be appropriate, as it will reduce the weight that is usually appreciated by the automobile movers. 5. Remove loose parts of the vehicle and fold back its mirror. 6. Make sure the battery is charged and tyres are inflated. 7. In case you have hired insured auto carrier then inspecting the vehicle before handing it over to the car mover is an indispensable need. Make a list of everything your car owns and take its few snaps from every possible angle to keep as a record for any possible compensation claim. 8. Once you ship the car, try to keep tracking it via GPS tracker provided by your hired vehicle shipper. 9. For receiving the vehicle, try to do it on your own. In case, you have hired terminal-to-terminal shipping services then try to be at the defined terminal before time. 10. Release your car and complete the entire paperwork before taking its possession Make sure that your vehicle is not damaged otherwise note it down on the inspection document for the information. Contact the company for compensation claim if you have hired insured services and your car has damaged during the transportation. You will receive compensation money soon.
