I have always been wondering if I could replace my real plant with fake orchid plant ever when I actually got to do this and what a relief it was to do so. The real plant, which I put in my living room beside the couch, gradually became a troublesome fellow. It was to be treated with so much care including watering every alternate day (at least) and manuring and pruning session at regular intervals of time. Whenever the plant was watered or treated with supplements, there had to be a lot of mess. I would end up cleaning the floors and vacuuming my carpet. It requires no maintenance at all. There is no more pouring in water to it and adding minerals to retain its lusciousness and then there is no trimming session required. This means that I need not to call my gardener for his skilled services (I would have preferred to do it myself but I am pretty poor at looking after green things) and paying him his dues. Of course there is no mess – the surroundings are kept clean all the time. Even the unexpected guests are welcomed to the place without bothering about getting embarrassed by leaking muddy water from the pot and mud splattered carpets.
My orchid plant (as I am told by the distributor) is made from UV protected injection moulded plastic and have silk flowers made of the finest silk fabric. It can be put to both internal and external use allowing me to transfer its positions from the living room to terrace garden or vice a versa. I am bit moody you see! I love to change interior settings often and the fake plant gives me this freedom. Because it’s been potted in a Brussels Diamond round high garden planter, it can be shifted from one place to another without anybody’s assistance.
The fake orchid plant further keeps dirt and grime outside the premises. It requires no care except a regular dusting with a piece of soft cloth or more over a regular wash with fresh water once in a month or two. All its parts are attached o each other by using strong adhesives thereby leaves do not fall away; not during fall or in high winds either.
