Sofia Sondervan is a New York based film producer who has produced a number of films ranging from her own short film called Je Maintiendrai, which she wrote, directed, and produced in 1995, to her most recent film Bringing up Bobby, which she produced in 2011. As a film producer with experience and titles under her belt, she has been invited to attend many film festivals. "If you want to get your name out there and start getting noticed as well as meeting other talent, then you want to submit your short film into as many film festivals as you can," says Sofia Sondervan. Not only are film festivals fun to attend, but often there are people in the industry like Sofia Sondervan who make great sources for information and connections. "There are film festivals in many different states and countries. Each festival has its own set of guidelines so you'll want to keep that in mind when you submit your work," says Sofia Sondervan. Not only has she attended film festivals, but she has been a judge for the Toronto International Film Festival and Hamptons Film Festival as well as on many panels. "If you want to get recognition and break into the industry, submitting work to film festivals is a great thing to add to your resume especially if it wins any form of recognition," says Sofia Sondervan.
