Whether you have just joined a network marketing opportunity, or you have been in one for awhile, constant growth is key to your business. Without growth, you won't make any money, or you won't make as much as you can. There are simple things you can do to help you in growing your business: 1. Don't just sell your products; use them too. If you are selling products you don't believe in, even if you do have to buy them, it will show. You are less credible, and your potential customers will see that too. If you want to speak credibly about your business, then use the products. Find out if they really work or not. Learn everything about them you can so you can speak credibly. Potential customers will usually ask you about the limitations of the product because no product is perfect. Make sure you know and understand what they are. 2. Become a lifelong student. The more you know about your industry, your products, and current affairs related to your opportunity, the better able you are to sell your opportunity. It will also give you confidence when making your presentations because you will have the information readily available and at hand. Others will consider you a resource and act accordingly. Only those who think they know everything will skip this part, and it will show in their marketing, as well as their relationships with potential customers and downline members. 3. Spend plenty of time with your upline. Your upline recruited you. They know the business, and they know how to recruit. If you want to learn how to do these things and build your business, then you'll want to spend as much time with these people as you can, learning as much as you can. Learn everything you can about the business, and the best place to start is with your upline. 4. Regularly present your opportunity to others. With the internet, it's easier than ever to present your opportunity to others. The key here is marketing. Write free classifieds and post to craigslist. Write articles and submit to the article directories. Connect on social sites and forums. Build a list and then build a relationship with those on your list so that you can recruit them into your opportunity or convert them to customers. 5. Take care of your downline. Are you responsive to your downline? What I mean is, do you answer their questions and keep in contact with them? If you don't, you could end up losing them. Remember, when they make money you make money, and so it's in your best interest to keep in contact with them and help them. You never know which ones are your superstars when it comes to building and recruiting, so make sure you treat all your downline members well and respond to them quickly and answer their questions fully. 6. Train your downline and leverage their efforts in a way that can be duplicated. If you want your downline members to stay, then train them so they can build their businesses. Teach them what you know, and if you're new to the business, get your upline involved. Make your system duplicatable so that your downline members can use it and get similar results that you have. If you don't have a system of your own, look around. There are plenty of systems available to train your downline members. 7. Don't just build a downline; build a customer base too. Having a solid customer base will help you increase your profits. Unlike your downline though, you won't have to do as much in this area because you don't have to train your customers. That doesn't mean you shouldn't give them some attention. Make sure you build a list of customers and give them bonuses and information to help them get the most from your products. They'll appreciate it, and they're more likely to stay your customers. 8. Understand your customers' needs, and provide a solution. There is no one size fits all solution for your customers, so why would you provide a one size fits all solution to their problems? It's important that you offer a wide variety of products so that you can help as many of your customers as possible find the right solutions to their problems. They are much more likely to be satisfied, and you'll increase the number of sales you make. Customers don't stay long if they're not getting what they need. 9. Write down your daily, weekly, and monthly goals so that you know where you are going. Do you know where you are taking your business? How do you plan to measure your success? You can't get to where you want to be if you don't know where you want to go. Have measurable goals and then take steps to meet those goals. You will get successful faster because you have a map. Just make sure that you adjust course and discard things that don't work for you. 10. Take action. You can do all the other things, but if you don't take action, then you're wasting your time. Action is what will make things happen, and it's also what will help you gain momentum in your business. So, get busy and start taking action today.
