Flame retardants are available in different variants. Each has its own style and characteristics. In fact, different retardants are used for various types of applications. Remember, every region has its own set of rules and regulations with regard to use of fire retardant. There are different types of flame retardant additive materials available. However, the most popular of all are the vinyl tarps. These are always considered ideal for room dividers and curtains. They are ideal to use on tent and canopy walls as well as windows. They not only protect the materials from getting engulfed by fire but also help in keeping away the harmful sunrays from entering. All thanks to the coated mesh covering. There are some particular vinyl tarps marked as “extra strengthening”. This sort of strength can be achieved through heat sealing and webbing. However, those who want more secured options along with long lasting durability can use brass grommets with these vinyl tarps. Poly tarpaulin is also a fine flame retardant additive. It is mostly used on recreational vehicles, damaged roofs, and different other household equipment. But, one needs to be careful while choosing the poly tarpaulin material. Those with UV protection level marking are the safest and best ones to pick. These ones are also highly resistant to mildew, rotting, and water. Also, it is necessary to look for fire retardants that show strong resistance against chemicals, acids, tearing, and extreme weather conditions. The strongest fire retardants are totally rust resistant. They features metal grommets which keep them heat sealed. Another type of fire retardant is laminated vinyl tarp. These are said to be highly sturdy in nature. They are ideal for covering dividers, indoor floors, salvage covers, etc. They are totally tear resistant and weighty. There are laminated vinyl tarps available that feature rust-resistance and heat sealed hems. This type of a material is also totally water-resistant and never shrinks with passage of time.
