Extraction of DNA and RNA is used for cancer cell research purposes. There are different types of kits and associated procedures to carry out theDNA extraction process. These can be utilized for new projects and experiments. Total RNA extraction is another purification process. It involves purification of Ribonucleic acid from biological samples. The entire RNA extraction procedure is a bit more complicated when compared to DNA extraction process. Here the presence of Ribonuclease enzymes in cells and tissues results in causing all the troubles. The presence of such enzymes can result in rapid degradation of RNA. , which can rapidly degrade RNA. There are a series of methods available for isolating RNA from the samples. The most common of all these methods is Guanidinium Thiocyanate-Phenol-Chloroform extraction. Extracting the RNA in liquid form of nitrogen, using the pestle and mortal or some specialized motorized grinding device can also be highly beneficial in preventing the ribonuclease activity.
