Laser cutting is becoming popular day by day. Designing on any type of material using a laser engraving equipment is simply faster and easier. However, taking care of such equipments is equally important. Let’s have a look at some of the different procedures for maintaining a laser cutting tool and equipment. Smoke and dust can be harmful for engraving tool. A lot of dust and smoke gets generated while the machine is functioning. These will definitely harm the guide rail after a certain period. Hence, it becomes important to carry out daily maintenance of guide rail. The guide rail should be cleaned with a clean mull. After cleaning, it is recommended to drop slight lubricating oil on the rail so that stiffness disappears. Try moving the slide from one side to another. It will help in letting the oil come out. However, the entire process should be conducted only after turning off the engraving machine and cutting off the power. Fixing the guide rail needs to be done very carefully. At first, the screws need to be installed at the right position. Then try to level the slide rays evenly. Try to fix the belt and slide rod well. Finally, install the lens and then try adjusting the destination of X light. After using the laser engraving equipment for a certain period, dust and smoke will definitely adhere to the surface of mirror and reflector. This will surely affect the engraving and cutting depth. At the same time, it will also affect the engraving and cutting precision. Therefore, these 3 reflectors as well as the focusing mirror should be cleaned weekly. The best cleansing solution is pure alcohol. These machines also feature numerous bearings. These bearings need to be refilled with oil regularly. A clean mull can be used for wiping off the dust gathered at the surface of bearings.
