If you are wondering whether juice recipes work for weight loss the answer is yes, but for short term. You would not want to rely on juice for the rest of your life. Juice may be the answer only if you want to lose a few kg in a hurry. You can lose up to 4 kg in the first couple of days, but a lot of fat you are losing is excess water and therefore cannot be sustained.

Going on a juice diet is almost the same as going on a detox. You are going to be drinking the juices instead of eating whole fruit and vegetables. The purpose of this is to enable you get a lot of vitamins and minerals while losing weight. However, research has shown that sugar is concentrated in fruit and to a lesser extent vegetable juices, you would actually be better eating the whole fruit or vegetable.

Cucumber, tomato juice, carrot, apple and celery juice are the different juice recipes for fat loss. In order to make it more filling, you can add protein powder. You would not want to rely solely on juice over a long period. Your health will suffer due to the acid and sugar in the juices not to mention your intake of the vitamins and nutrients you need for good health will be compromised.

You should aim to improve your overall eating habits. By all means try a juice diet for a couple of days to kick-start your fat loss. In order to keep your system hydrated you must drink a lot of water. This is very important when you suddenly increase the amount of fiber in your diet as otherwise you can end up constipated. You should take at least 8 glasses of water daily. This will help you to eat less thus reducing calorie intake. Even though juice recipes work for weight loss, it is not a long time solution.
