It's easy to develop the habit of visiting and worshiping at the temple on a regular basis. Followers of Hare Krishna, Jainism, Judaism, the Mayan Religion, Mormonism and Sikhism all devote themselves to patterns of regular temple worship as part of their faith. During worship at the temple, followers assuage hurt in their lives, ask for peace and guidance and to see and feel the presence of God. Depending on the religion being followed, visits to the temple may be daily or weekly. Instructions as follows: Firstly, set goals for how often you would like to worship at the temple. Goals should be broken down into 30-day increments to effectively establish the habit and avoid burnout. At each 30-day interval, the goals should be revisited to adjust for any issues that may deter you from continuing the new habit. Secondly, designate a specific time to visit the temple. Consider any predetermined worship services that you would like to attend. Contact the temple if necessary to determine hours of operation. Thirdly, clear your schedule around the time you set to participate in worship services or pray, leaving an adequate amount of time to travel to and from the slate temple. Conflicting events on your schedule can be moved to other days or times when possible. Fourthly, consider potential obstacles that could keep you from going to the temple. Obstacles such as traffic, sporting events or favorite television shows may deter you from sticking with your temple schedule. Arrange to overcome those obstacles by using digital video recorders or mapping out alternative travel routes. Also consider overcoming objections from friends or family members who attempt to deter you. Fifthly, inform supportive individuals in your life of your intention to develop the habit of worshiping at the temple regularly. This will give you added motivation to keep going and the individual can offer emotional support or give you the needed push on days you try to talk yourself out of going. Sixthly, establish rewards for meeting each goal you have set. For example, after attending the temple regularly for the first 30 days without missing a single trip, you could reward yourself with a new book or movie. The book or movie could be purchased ahead of time and given to the supportive individual to hold until the goal is met to act as incentive. Seventhly, begin visiting thesoapstone slabtemple at your scheduled times. After you have stuck with the goal for 30 days, it will have become a habit. After 90 days, it will be hard not to visit the temple, even when you don't feel like it.
