There are two types of light source: hot filament light source and cold LED light source (high-brightness light-emitting diode). The benefit of hot filament light source is the light source is a bright yellow; it can clear the converging at a certain point in the darkness, the brightness is also very high. Jungle through the night requires 8000LM, and caving requires more than 10000LM... The bulb life of hot filament light is more than 30 hours (refers to the continuous lighting). So, some headlights and flashlight use the method to add multiple LEDs to increase brightness, but this is only highlighted, not lengthened light. So the LED lights comes with a good condenser adjustment, but it just can illuminates tens of meters. Therefore, LED lights are not suitable for caving, mainly used for close-range lighting.
