WildIron LLC releases the SteadyWheel, a Compact Camera Stabilizer. Hackensack, NJ, February, 2013 – Wild Iron LLC, a small start-up prototyping and R&D shop, has launched a compact, lightweight camera stabilizer called the SteadyWheel on the crowd funding site, Kickstarter. The SteadyWheel is a portable camera stabilizer designed to reduce shake and improve stability. The rig works great with Smartphones, POV, Point and Shoot, and many other small frame cameras. While improving stability, the SteadyWheel also provides a great handle, giving the shooter much better frame control and opening up shot opportunities. It's compact design and lightweight chassis make it convenient to take anywhere the action is. The Steady Wheel is made of a sturdy ABS industrial plastic and has 14 stainless steel weighted inserts which gives it a low center of gravity yet only weighs 1.62 lbs. It has grips at 10 and 2 and a standard universal ¼-20 camera mount. The Steady Wheel is not only rugged but very easy to transport. “We like to call it backpackable,” Stone says, “It’s easy to throw it into your backpack" With the launch of the Steady Wheel, Robert Stone fills a niche in the crowded camera stabilizer field. With the Steady Wheel, now shooting quality video just got a whole lot easier. Wild Iron LLC has been in operation since 2001 and their aim is to help others develop their ideas and resolve problems within mechanical systems. See http://wildiron.com/ for more details.
