People who want to achieve Ancestry Visa can get this visa only if they have grandparents who was born in the UK either alive or died including the Channel Islands or the Isle of Man. They have to give proof that they are related to by birth or by official adoption. You can also get the visa even outside of UK and this validity period of this visa is 5 years. When the period of 5 years comes to an end then the applicant can also apply for permanent residency in UK. Ancestry visa allows the applicants and his dependents to work in UK without any restriction. They can also start occupation of their own choice in which self employed and contracting their services via Ltd. Company are included. An applicant should also be adult means of 17 years or above for employment in the UK so that he may support himself and his dependents without any recourse to public funds. There are some requirements for ancestry visa, an applicant should have: - 1. That person must be a commonwealth citizen 2. His age should be of 17 or above 3. He should have grandparents who were born in UK, the Channel Islands or the Isle of Man. 4. He should be eligible for work and intend to do so in the UK 5. He must be capable in supporting himself and his dependents without any help of public fund. Successful applicants of ancestry visa can work in the UK without any work visa because when he arrives at UK he gets the authority to stay for at least 5 years in that country. That person can also get the permanent residency but firstly he should meet the criteria for UK ancestral visa and he must have worked as employee for 5 years without any long leave. Applicants need not to come to UK and apply for visa but he can also apply from the same country in which he resides. Successful applicants can establish their own business without any commitment of a certain amount of investment. Applicant should be adult so that no problem may occur due to age limit. That person can’t travel outside the UK for longer than permissible period and this period is 6 months in which he can’t absent for 3 consecutive months. As this visa is based on family ties so in this there is no point testing like HSMP or Tier 1 and Tier 2 UK visa.
