The beautiful palm fringed beaches and the coral reefs makes the Tangalle beach an attractive place to visit as well. Last not but least visit the world famous Arugam Bay, located a bit further from the southern province in the south east part of the country. Famous as a top place for surfing, it attracts thousands of visitors each year. This beautiful bay was not accessible during the war time, but now it has been restored to its original beauty and entertains thousands of visitors daily.
