Planning a trip to London can be a fun and exciting adventure. You can choose to stay in an affordable 3 star London hotels and spend your days exploring new destinations. Here are just some of the attractions waiting for you when you get there.

Are you planning to go to London for a weeklong holiday? Make sure you have a good time by booking a room in one of the nicest 3 star London hotels and planning your itinerary. Coordinate with your travel agent and see which travel package suits you. Make sure, however, that you drop by some top destinations in London. Here are some you should not miss.

Buckingham Palace

Buckingham Palace, the seat of the British Monarchy, is located at the very heart of London. It has been the official residence of Britain’s sovereigns since 1837.

A visit to London is not complete without seeing the changing of guards. The Queen’s Guard in London changes in the Forecourt, inside the gates of Buckingham Palace, at 11:30 am every day in the summer, and every other day in the winter. Whether you choose to stop by for a complete tour or just to watch the changing of the guards, it is one of the great things you have to see when you are in London.

The London Eye

See London from a bird’s eye view. Take a ride on the London Eye and see the city from a new perspective. The London Eye sits on the bank of the River Thames, across from the Houses of Parliament. This is one of the London’s newer attractions, built to celebrate the new millennium in 2000. The large Ferris wheel has pods on it that take visitors high up to get the best views of the city.

Covent Garden

Located in the West End, Covent Garden is a famous shopping and theatre district, with attractions including The Royal Opera House and the Cambridge Theatre. Public transportation is easily accessible and many of London’s tourist attractions are within walking distance. Go and enjoy the wonderful street performers and the local street market.

London Parks and Gardens

-St. James’s Park is the oldest royal park in London and offers one of the best views of Buckingham Palace. It is both a wildlife preserve and a relaxing place to escape the hustle and bustle of the city. It is also near Westminster Palace and St. James’s Palace. -Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens are adjoining parks offering the best of both worlds. Hyde Park provides space for sporting events, concerts, and a lake for swimming. On the other side of the park is Kensington Gardens, which offers spacious grassy areas, beautiful flowerbeds, and a pond that is a popular winter ice-skating spot.

Westminster Abbey

This 700-year-old building is a must see. It is the final resting place for Britain’s monarchs and is a very impressive looking Gothic building with stained glass. It is also a place for coronations and other pageants. This London attraction is a medieval architectural masterpiece. Do not miss seeing this national treasure.

British Museum

Founded in 1753, the British Museum is not only the oldest museum in London, but also the oldest in the world. It has one of the largest collections of any world museum, with more than 6 million pieces on its four floors. This famous London attraction is open daily.

Make sure you see these places when coming to London, but first, book a place to stay. Visit this website for more affordable yet great accommodations.
