Generally most industries use different types of stationary items in routine schedule such as letterheads, writing pads, business forms, printing paper, sticky notes and many more. Nowadays a new product is in demand in many industries and that is the Carbonless Form. The rapid increase in demand is due to the numerous benefits it offers. Carbonless Forms offer a convenient way to copy documents, without the use of carbon paper carbonless, Carbonless form. Now, let us consider a medium sized company that produces 1000's of invoices, purchase orders, work orders per month, using carbon forms. When the 'carbon' sheet is discarded, not to be used again; but in the case of Carbonless Forms, there is no 'carbon' sheet, therefore, it decreases the waste by an unprecedented 50%. The technology behind this is somewhat simple. However, due to the increasing popularity and elevated demand for Carbonless, many companies are now keeping their methods as trade secrets. Originally used for manual copy, Carbonless Forms are nowadays printed using advanced printing methods such as inkjet and LaserJet printing. How it works: Basically it comprises of a standard 2-part form. The back part of the top page is coated with a micro-encapsulated dye. The front part of the bottom page is coated in reactive clay. On applying pressure to the top page the micro-capsules in dye break, that releases the dye, which then reacts with the clay and creates a permanent mark. The capsules of dye are so small that the printed mark is very precise. Mostly, Carbonless Forms are preferred for their precision in printing and duplicating. For a 3-part form, the micro-encapsulated dye is again coated on the back of the top sheet. The front of the sandwiched sheet is coated on both sides: the front part has the reactive clay and the back part has the micro-encapsulated dye. Along with that, the bottom sheet is front- coated with reactive clay. Therefore, printing on the top sheet provides duplicates on the next two sheets. There is no coating on the front part of the top page as well as the back part of the bottom page. Carbonless Form has achieved a significant progress since its actual invention. Initially, this type of paper was referred to as No Carbon Required paper, or NCR paper, using the Corporation's acronym where it was invented. NCR actually stands for 'National Cash Register Company' which is also responsible for creating the first mechanical cash registers, the first electric cash registers, LCD (liquid crystal display) and much other technological advancement. Thus, the name NCR Paper is still used regularly today. However, the demands for Carbonless Forms are increasing, but on the contrary the prices aren't climbing. The supply of Carbonless products are increasing rapidly as paper manufacturers and retailers are adopting the eco-friendly ways, and hence many printing services in California are coming up with printings on Carbonless Forms. Likewise, the switch from the typewriter to a keyboard, the move form carbon to Carbonless is a welcome change that will revolutionize the way businesses use paper!! Take out menu, menu printing.
