Many moons ago I attend a lecture by Alberto Villoldo, a modern day shaman. He told the audience about modern day shamanism, how shamans view the world and a lot of other interesting stuff. “We shamans have a contract with the Universe,” he said, “and it looks like this: The shaman calls…..the universe answers. Always.” That sounded good. “But it’s not just shamans who have such a contract. EVERYONE has this same sacred contract with the Universe. Including you. This works for you too. YOU call…….the universe answers. Always.” Now the audience was REALLY interested. This sounded even better. “Unfortunately,” Alberto continued, “most people forget to read the small print of the contract.” Shoot! “What most people forget, is that it works the other way around as well: The universe calls…… ……YOU answer! Always.” It has been many years since I listened to these words, but never forgot them. Since then I learned much more about co-creating with the universe and connecting to my own guidance and intuition. I know my intuition is the most powerful tool I possess, and I always have access to it. Not just in my life, but also in my business. And I teach my clients to use their intuition in their businesses as well. They all have intuition. And they all forget to consciously use it in their business. YOU have access to your own intuition, your own most powerful business tool, as well. And I bet you’re not using it nearly enough either. If that is the case, then I invite you to learn how to use it more often and more consciously. I promise you it is worth it! It will always lead you to the answers you seek and tell you what your next best action or decision is. These tips help you use your intuition in your business more often: Tip 1: play with it Don’t take it too seriously. You don’t have to burn a truckload of incense or meditate for 40 days straight before you can begin to use your intuition. Just ask goofy questions and see what comes up. For example: - OK, intuition – I’m going outside now. Tell me: what color is the first car I see? - Or maybe you’re visiting a friend and you ask your intuition what kind of outfit she’s wearing (Before you see her of course, duh). You get the picture. Just play around with it and ask questions and information that doesn’t make much difference to you. Don’t start asking questions around life and death issues if you haven’t practiced using your intuition and learned to trust it first. Tip 2: start your day with connecting to your intuition Think about what you want to accomplish this week or month. Then ask your intuition: What do I need to focus on today? Notice the first answer that comes up. Usually that is the most important thing to focus on. Tip 3: Remember to use your intuition daily Ask inspiration for your next launch or a subject for your ezine. Check in with your intuition before you make any kind of decision at all. Ask if you should sign up for that program or hire that coach or attend that event. Anything. Just notice what comes up and then, of course, act on it. This week’s transformational action: Play around with your intuition, and see how you can use it in your business in a way that works for you.
