Calangute is a city found in the state of Goa in India and is known for the beach which is found here and offers a place to chill and a bunch of water based sports that visitors can partake of. The Calangute Beach is also well-liked as the biggest beach in the district of North Goa. Calangute is well hooked up to most towns in India by road and there are a considerable number of buses traveling here each day. The journey by bus might be awkward because one would need to change buses on the way. Many travelers decide to travel here by taxi because they are much handier and it occasionally turns out cheaper. The closest train line station to the city is the Thivim station which is found about 25 mins away from Calangute by road. There are a considerable number of auto rickshaws and taxis operating in Calangute but most holiday makers get around on two-wheelers that may be hired at diverse places in the town. Neighbors opt to walk everywhere as most attractions at Calangute are found only a little distance away from one another. The Medical Springs is a stream that's visited by many travelers that visit Calangute as the water flowing in the stream is alleged to have some curative properties. About two km away from the Calangute Beach, one can visit the Baga Beach which is another traveler spot at Calangute and The Baga Retreat House is an excellent place that offers some excellent perspectives of the hamlet and the ocean. A bunch of visitors also visit Fort Aguada which was built in 1612 and is a popular place in the city. There are numerous beach shacks found here that are good places to chill and try some delicious food and there are several hostels at Calangute offering accommodation options to the visitors that visit. Calangute is a pretty city where one can spend their holiday enjoying the numerous water based sports that are accessible on the beach or relax. A visit to Calangute is one that any visitor visiting the place will not forget extremely soon.
