Rajasthan is all about history, heritage and luxury. Even many of its hotels are remakes of old regal palaces. So, one can expect plenty of charm and grandeur in such a sophisticated place. Rajasthan truly knows how to hold on to its rich past. It is one of the most popular tourist places to visit in India. And there are many reasons for that. Presently, let us concentrate on its luxury hotels. Here is a quick stare into some of them, most of which a poor man like me wouldn’t be able to afford: i. Rambagh Palace, Jaipur: This palace has been there in existence for nearly 200 years. Once a grand palace, it has now been converted into a hotel which enslaves you with its alluring gardens, old-style architecture, sprawling marble-floored halls and stunning rooms. It won’t be a sin if we just cite it amongst the tourist places in Jaipur. But if your money bag is jingling heavily, then it would be a sin not to empty it over here. ii. Lake Palace, Udaipur: Lake Palace is an extremely captivating hotel which is situated in the middle of the Lake Pichola. This floating hotel is far away from the chaos of the city life and gives you a space right in the middle of the nature, and literally so! With attractions like Jag Mandir and the Lake Pichola itself, the only reason why you can say no to this hotel is your state of financial helplessness. iii. Jawahar Niwas Palace, Jaisalmer: It is a bit unfortunate that the town of Jaisalmer is not as popular as the towns of Jaipur, Udaipur or Jodhpur. Jaisalmer is more rustic and much more rooted in traditional culture. This palace-turned-hotel of Jawahar Niwas deserves a place in this list. It is a heritage luxury hotel which will make you wonderstruck. Lots of sandstone, windows and jewels adorn this palace. You would truly feel like a king while sleeping at its mattress-crested bed. iv. Ajit Bhawan, Jodhpur: Jodhpur tourism gets another feather on its heavily laden cap with the heritage hotel of Ajit Bhawan. It is another historic palace which offers you a satisfying and even overwhelming accommodation. It is situated in the neighborhood of the Jodhpur’s desert area and does make a striking appearance in its gargantuan size. Many tourists take up a lodging here, and return home with a sense of complete contentment. The staffs and the ambience are equally good, and the food too would make you euphoric. v. Lallgarh Palace, Bikaner: The might of this domineering Lallgarh Palace is hard to describe through words. But this early 20th century structure can easily give a run for money to even the Buckingham Palace in London. With a strong legacy and Indo-European architecture, it is the biggest asset of Bikaner and one of the places to visit in India.
