Restaurant Rates include a 10% service charge, 5% tax on goods and services and a 1% government tax. The 16% total known “triple plus” and is mandatory. Not usually leave a tip. The prices are for a three-course meal for one, including a bottle of house wine or cheapest equivalent. These prices do not include service tax or any other taxes.

Budget:

Komala Vilas: Komala Vilas is just one of the plethora of small and informal dining venues that grow in the neighborhood of Little India. These places serve delicious Indian food cheap and abundant type in a “fast food”. The vegetarian menu offers the opportunity to enjoy a traditional meal in South India with favorites like the dosai (a crepe filled with vegetables) and the tali, a meal complete with rice, lentils and a selection of curry served in a banana leaf. Komala Vilas opens at 07.00 and is a great place for breakfast. No credit cards accepted.

Madras New Woodland's Restaurant: Little India is a great place to find cheap places where you can sample food from Southeast Asia and Madras New Woodlands is one of them. Their menu is completely vegetarian and is focused on the cuisine of southern India. Highlights include the Thali, a complete meal with a variety of spicy vegetables, tofu, dal, raita sweet (chopped vegetables in yogurt) and Indian cakes. The dosa, a typical dish of southern India in the huge crepe stuffed with spiced vegetables and varied dishes, is very popular.

Newton Circus: Eat at one of the many stalls of Singapore is a special experience. Newton Circus has always been popular among locals and visitors, mainly because it is outdoors and open 24 hours. It should ignore customers hunters trying to attract tourists to their posts. What is recommended is to check what each site, find a table and order. As in most of the centers with food stalls, dishes can be ordered in several and then bring to the table. The options are not very spacious (there is little vegetarian) and the prices are not as low, but the atmosphere is always lively, either during dinner, breakfast or a beer time at 04.00. Near Newton MRT Price: From S $ 3 per plate. Beer: From $ 4S.

Orchard Maharajah: This small North Indian restaurant, located in the Orchard Road shopping area, is ideal for those looking for outdoor dining in the bustle. Despite its modest price and location, the food is amazing. The source of tandoori chicken comes packed tikka , fish, kebab and prawns. The Raan-e ghosht Maharajah is the specialty of the house and consists of lamb marinated overnight and roasted before tandoor. Vegetarian dishes include the classic saag aloo (spinach and potatoes) and baigan bartha (eggplant with spices).

Contact:- 39 Cuppage Road Tel: 6732 6331. Fax: 6733 1902. Website: http://www.maharajah.com.sg/ Price: $ 26S. Wine: 35S $.

Va Va Voom: This small informal cafe and very reasonable prices offers a delicious range of Vietnamese dishes. With over 30 specialties of the house and a substantial drinks menu (recommended tea vodka with lemon), this new property attracts local office workers, art lovers and customers looking for last-minute recharge. Favorite dishes include pork chops grilled with vermicelli, green mango spicy salad, tofu in sweet chili sauce and of course spring rolls in hot brown sauce. The cafe is as popular for its traditional Vietnamese cuisine light, healthy and economical.

Personal Recommendations:

Flutes at the Fort: This restaurant occupies a house of a century old at the foot of the historic Fort Cannin Park. Her beauty offers a chance to enjoy a good meal in the midst of lush greenery. Once you are past the steep slope to the top of the hill, one can relax while tasting Australian dishes like lamb, duck baby slow-roasted or fried black cod. The porch is stunning and the interior dining room seats 100 people and spectacular views. You must leave room for the desserts, especially the chocolate pudding cabernet. The atmosphere is cozy and romantic restaurant is gaining a reputation as a place to ask for marriage.
