Nubra Valley is a very picturesque destination which should be visited during your trip to Ladakh. It lies towards the northern part of Leh and is nested at a good height of over 5500 m. It is believed that it was once inhabited by icy glaciers and rivers which have, over time, dried up or faded away into oblivion. This stretch of road is a hugely landscaped open land which was also trodden by traders from the medieval times. Now, of course, it has become the pride of Ladakh tourism and draws tourists in plentiful. Apart from its beguiling lakes and domineering mountains, what works for the popularity of the region is its element of virginity. This place, despite its poetic beauty, has received very few footprints. A day trip to Nubra Valley can be extremely fetching and inviting. It is at a negotiable distance of around 150 km from Leh. So, one can always migrate to this place through a private vehicle. Since, it will take you about 4 hours to travel one-side, it would be better to have an overnight stay at this place. That would give you an ideal chance to explore its beauty in details. Besides, there are some good accommodation points where you can find shelter. Silk Rout Cottage and Yarab Tso Hotel are some top-notch hotels of the highest quality. Alternatively, you can also travel to the valley through a bus.
