Birthday parties, retirement parties, Christmas parties – these things have been happening since the dawn of our society. As such, the gifts usually given or exchanged at such events have been recycled and, as such, have become properly tired. Ties, bottles of perfume, samples of family recipes, gift cards – these things have been given over and over and over and over. It is time, America, for us to become slightly more original and perhaps give something that is worth giving. Truly, why give someone you care for a generic gift? Why not give them something that shows that you had to put some thought into it; something personalized. Getting things personalized isn’t the huge affair that it once was. With the advent of the internet, there are many sites offering customizable products, where you need only type up what you want said, select a font and a product, and pay. But the trick after deciding to go the personalized route, is to decide what exactly to get personalized. A custom engraved bottle of perfume is a small step in the right direction, but not really the change that we need. An alternate route to take, a unique route and a very classy and sophisticated route would be a customized champagne bottle. For example, for your mother’s Christmas champagne gift, have the bottle say “Merry Christmas to my loving mother.” It’s a simple message, but having it addressing her directly can make a huge amount of difference. It isn’t a card that will be thrown away. She will remember the sentimentality of your gift long after the champagne is gone (because, face it, she isn’t going to throw that bottle away). Or imagine a retirement party gift for your dad: “Congratulations, Dad. I’m proud of you!” Or a birthday champagne bottle for your sister: “A year older, but forever young.” These are the sorts of gifts that will never be forgotten – moreover the recipients won’t forget having received them from you! Next time you’re expected to bring a gift to a party, don’t settle for mediocrity. Give a gift that won’t be forgotten, a gift that has some meaning to it. Give a gift that will truly be loved and appreciated. Give a gift of sentimentality. An engraved champagne bottle is a simple, but elegant way to say “I love you” to anyone who is going to be receiving a gift from you. For more information: Champagne for Christmas
