A Yantra is a Vedic tool which has been redefined throughout the ages to mean a mechanism or concept that serves prayers, rituals, yajnas, homams and any other modes of worship for the individual or group. Scholars have defined the Yantra to connect the worshipper’s physical and mental consciousness with the grand universal cosmos, or the Supreme Energy as it’s known in Hindu tradition. It can be a geometric shape, an object or even a particular machine. Yantras are also considered to be energized objects which enhance the physical and mental energies of the worshipper and the environment around him or her. Yantras have been heralded as removers of evil and benefactors in any kind of worship. Techniques to develop and use a particular Yantra must be cultivated carefully. It needs planning and programming to work and yield benefits. Yantras are usually used for purposes, either specific or universal. For example, the goal might be to acquire some success in one’s business or investments. Yantras also reveal universal truths and help in solving certain mental difficulties. They help the individual in mapping concepts and subconscious thoughts, especially for creative and mental construction challenges. Yantras can be both two and three dimensional, and they can be visualized by an imaginative and focussed mind into even more complex forms. Yantras are especially helpful during meditation sessions and intense ritual practices Types Of yantras : Yantras could be geometric patterns which are etched into surfaces to be used. These patterns could be geometric shapes like triangles or circles, and they could be far more complicated, for example hexagonal or representing the lotus shape. Written Yantras are usually certain kinds of Mantras written in a particular script, usually Devanagari. Astrology or planetary Yantras deal with the influence and positions of various astronomical entities. Shapes have significance in Yantras. Triangles usually represent the energy of fire or water, straight lines represent single elements, and a circle represents water. Benefits of Yantras Even though Yantras take some time and patience to yield results, they have numerous benefits for the worshippers. Yantras are very effective in removing health problems and preventing mishaps and disasters in one’s personal and career journeys. An energized Yantra works wonders in removing negatives vibes in the surroundings and in the mental maps of the worshippers. A Yantra must be carefully positioned and placed even after the worship is accomplished. The individual should keep the Yantra close to him/her to enhance its effects and benefits. One can always re-energize the yantra by the recitation of specific chants and performances of specific rituals. In case the ritual is performed by an individual who’s different from the person the yantra is supposed to benefit, the yantra can be handed over to the latter after being ‘activated’. Yantras can definitely be used to remove the negative effects of planets in the performer’s aura. This is Peter Desouza. On visiting the Ratna website I was happy to find the original Yantras in different types and varieties. I have been trying hard to find original Yantras but could not get them anywhere. Finally, the Rudraksha Ratna website proved to be of major help in finding genuine original Yantras. So, if you have any queries related to Yantras, do visit the Rudraksha Ratna website.
