Many parents refuse to see how television can benefit the wellbeing and learning progress of their children. In fact, the majority of parents limit the amount of television their children watch, preferring hem to spend their time outdoors instead. Encourages competition There are often competitions run on children’s television programmes. This teaches children that it is healthy to be competitive to a certain extent and shows them that hard work can pay off. Through winning competitions, children are rewarded, praised and recognised for outstanding work, instilling self-confidence and boosting morale. So as you can see, there are multiple benefits to be gained from watching television. The only thing to remember is that you should also spend a lot of quality time with your children to and encourage them to get their daily recommendation of exercise as well as relaxing time. Children may not get the chance to watch television at nursery but there are many other ways in which your child’s learning can benefit from attending a day nursery such as kidsunlimited.
