Thirty years ago most people found love either through social interaction such as a friend introducing a friend or by chance at an event, party or bar. This practice although somewhat new in our culture is thousands of years old in other cultures. That is a price gouging cost for no guarantee and considering investments the wealthy make in to such things as business’s, companies and vehicles with the term ROI (Return On Investment) it is an odd action to take on such uncertainty but this is an emotional investment and when emotion is the primary drive most will spend whatever it takes to get what they want no matter how high the stakes are. For those whom have far less to spend there are online matchmaking services that allow you meet and greet singles. For the last 20 years this trend has become one of the most popular ways to meet people. As more and more people are using online dating each generation is using it as their primary way of finding love. In fact the number of marriages where couples have met trough on online dating service is growing in the U.S. But not all matchmaking services are equal. There are many sites including the leading services that promise you will meet someone and if meeting someone only was your goal then any of these sites are adequate for that goal. If you are truly seeking a long term relationship consider your options carefully. For example, are you religious? One of the leading sites is based on Judeo- Christian values but if you are part of the generation born after 1980 those values may not be as instilled in you as your predecessors. If this is the case then many of the questionnaires and matchmaking algorithms may not fit your needs. Another set of examples are culture, demographic, values and belief systems. With demographics, values, and belief systems some of these sites can take that into account with their matchmaking software, however culture can be a hard one to match on because most questionnaire focus on ethnicity and religion. If you are a mixed race with an unreligious belief system meeting someone online can be problematic. There are many factors to consider but these are a few to keep into mind when seeking love online.
