Awarding your employees in recognition of their performance is common practice today. Larger corporate companies tend to even have budgets allocated for this purpose. This does not mean that the smaller businesses don’t practice this habit; they probably just do it on a smaller scale. For the smaller employer, awards would normally be in the form of a plaque and usually they have multiple engravings on a weekly or monthly basis according to who has achieved the requirements for the award. Such awards are usually in the form of trophies which can vary from the usual bronze or stainless steel ones, to engraved glass and cut crystal. Any of these are quite suitable depending on the company image. There are several companies out there who specifically deal in these awards. They are also able to customize your awards with your own catch phrases and logo’s. Sandblasting and crystal engraving will, of course, be more expensive, but well worth the effort.
