There are also only two seasons, the wet season and the dry season. The wet season last in the months of March through May and September through November which can include lots of heavy rain, and the dry season lasting from December through February and June to August with little rain. The Dates that are Off Peak The dry seasons December through February and June to August are the heavy peak times for tourist visitation, because these months are the month when the weather is most pleasant. Although best weather wise, the dry season is the time when traveling rates go up, and also the time when most of the beaches and areas are most crowded with tourist. Tourist influx is between the months of June and July and to avoid this, it is best plan your vacation during the wet season. Although the weather can be a little sloppy during the wet season, your accommodation rates will be a lot lower for your budget. The Holidays and Celebrations Columbia is known for its big holiday celebrations, having 16 in total. Due to holidays, many of the local businesses close early and is known to be closed for an entire weekend. It s not a very good idea to book your traveling arrangements over the national holidays due to many fight not being available.
