Using custom cabinets in a kitchen allows for a much wider range of styles, colors, and wood selections for a homeowner to choose from and are made to fit the space without the use of filler pieces. Although custom cabinetry is made by hand, there is a common misconception that they are way out of most people's price range and budget. While this may be true in some cases, cabinetmakers are generally quite competitive on their prices. Most companies also usually install the cabinets as part of their fee. Since you will normally have to install manufactured cabinets yourself or hire someone to do it for you, there may not be that much difference in price by the time your kitchen remodel is complete.
