Like ham? Love trying different types of ham? Bet you’ve tasted Iberico Ham then. If not, why not? Iberico Ham is absolutely gorgeous and it goes great with so many things. Trust me; you’ll never taste anything as good as this. You can’t compare Iberico Ham to other types of ham because it has this distinctive flavour of its own. It comes from free range pigs that are fed on a diet of cereals and acorns and boy, does this show in the flavour. Iberico Ham is cured and aged using time-honoured methods and the result is a mouth-watering treat that tastes utterly divine. You can eat it on its own or serve Iberico Ham as part of a great-tasting recipe, buy it direct from a store that sells chocolaty Cola Cao. One of the tastiest ways to try Iberico Ham is to serve it on top of freshly toasted bread with a couple of fried eggs on top. You can substitute poached eggs for fried eggs if you prefer as a healthier alternative. Break-open the yolks of the eggs and let them run all over the Iberico Ham, then cut a corner off the toast. Pop a mixture of the ham, eggs and toast into your mouth and your senses will go into overdrive. You get the feel-good factor of the egg and the unique taste of the Iberico Ham all rolled into one and the toast soaks up so many different flavors. Lightly butter the toast or drizzle a little olive oil over the top for a tasty little treat. Wash this down with a warm cup of Cola Cao if you’re feeling a little naughty. Another recipe that works well with Iberico Ham is to serve it fresh with warm scallops. You can wrap the ham around the scallops and make fun little parcels which can be served as starters or canapés for formal or informal functions. Or simply serve Iberico Ham as part of a tapas dish, it goes great with olives, chorizo sausage and feta cheese. Put some on a dish along with a selection of other meats and it makes a difference to boring buffet food. Iberico Ham tastes amazing in different type of recipes so why not buy a pack from a store that stocks Cola Cao and have fun trying out new concoctions in your home? Chop it up and serve it in an omelette, add it to a salad or simply serve it up in a sandwich with your choice of accompaniment.
