Plenty of underground rooms are found in this monument, with the present structure being occupied by Central Drug Research Institute. • Moti Mahal is located at the banks of River Gomti near Hazratganj. It is also referred to as the pearl palace, due named because of the white building. The purpose of the building was to allow the family of the nawaabs to watch the animal fights, which were held by the side of the river. It can also be used for birdwatching, because of the citadel like structure. The lawn of Moti Mahal is presently used by various organisers for parties, exhibitions and marriage functions.
