Well known throughout the world as the summer capital of India, the town of Srinagar has been a favourite place for tourists from all over the world. The cave is 60 feet in length and is said to be the place where Lord Shiva revealed the secrets of immortality to Parvati. There is an ice stalagmite, which resembles a lingam, the mark for Lord Shiva. During Srinagar sightseeing, people also visit the Amarnath Caves, but have to acquire prior permission. • Rainwari is one of the beautiful places to visit in Srinagar, which has a gurudwara, built by Guru Hargobind Sahib ji, the 6th Guru of Sikh. Of special importance are the human skeletons belonging to different cultural stages.
