9 Uses Of Yoghurt For Better Skin And Hair

Health
With cleansing and moisturizing properties, yoghurt is one of the home-made solutions for common skin problems. From acnes to age spots, yoghurt is a simple natural solution to all your skin related problems. Yoghurt has enzymes that kill bacteria, and provides immunity to the skin. It contains antibodies which works wonders for the skin and provides an inexpensive method to keep your skin glowing. This article will give you some basic tips on how to use it as well as its many benefits:

1. Acne: Facial masks prepared by mixing egg and yoghurt can remove acne within a few days of application.

2. Age Spots: A homemade recipe combining yoghurt, lime juice, lemon and honey can help you reduce age spots on your face and chest. Apply this mixture for 20 minutes and see noticeable differences within a few days.

3. Skin texture: Apply a mixture of yoghurt and Vitamin E oil on your hands and cover it with cotton gloves for a few hours to see wonderful results.

4. Sunburn: Whenever you head off to a beach, apply plain yoghurt on your face and skin to prevent sunburn.

5. Reverse aging: The lactic acid in yoghurt acts as a hydrating agent and moisturizes the dry skin. Apply plain yoghurt on your arms and legs for 15 minutes and rinse it with fresh water. The hydration caused by yoghurt will make your skin glow like a teenager's.

6. Canker sores: Yoghurt can even be used to prevent the reoccurrence of canker sores. Consuming yoghurt daily with breakfast and applying a little on lips will go a long way in preventing any infections

7. Infections: Yoghurt is one of the best cures of infections such as ringworm and yeast infection. Apply yoghurt on gauze and place it over fungal infection. In case of vaginal infection, use a tampon dipped in yoghurt and replace it 4 to 5 times a day.

8. Pimples: Yoghurt is one of the easiest cures available for curing pimples and acne. Teenagers often face problems with acne and pimples due to puberty. A mixture of yoghurt with water can be applied on the affected area. Improvements can be seen within 10 days of regular application.

9. Hair and scalp: Yoghurt is also a very effective exfoliating agent. Apply yoghurt and oil on your dry scalp to help remove dandruff. It even helps to remove dead skin, which is usually the cause of itching in the scalp.

Thus yoghurt is a very cheap and effective treatment for curing various skin and hair related troubles. Regular use and application can give you wonderful results within just a few days of usage. Yoghurt is a natural exfoliating and hydrating agent and has minimal side effects. Experts consider yoghurt to be a much better and safe substitute to chemicals such as shampoo and artificial hair and skin moisturizers. A hit with the older generation, yoghurt's new found uses have staged it for a come-back amongst teenagers and adults equally.
