Mr Fogg’s is a new bar from Inception Group, located in Mayfair. Founded by Charlie Gilkes and Duncan Stirling, Inception Group have recently treated Londoners to venues such as the Chelsea speakeasy Bart’s, 80s themed nightclub Maggies, and the extremely popular Bunga Bunga in Battersea. Their newest bar is designed to emulate the drawing room of the Victorian house which Phileas Fogg, Jules Verne’s infamous adventurer, would have lived in during the late 19th Century. Authenticity is in abundance here as all the interiors, furniture, decorations and features are designed to convince guests they are lounging in Fogg’s actual home. Like Fogg himself, guests have the privilege of experiencing all the wonders of the world without ever leaving London, with the themes heavily representing his travels around the world in 80 days. The menu puts a modern spin on ‘Victorian Cocktailian Culture’, with delicious drinks available including Absinthe Aperitifs, Gin Fizzes, Grog’s, Sazeracs, Stirrup Cups and Pouce Cafés. Mr. Fogg’s also provides sharing drinks straight out of the pages of Jules Verne’s novel, served in the form of globes, Red Indian’s heads, steam trains and antique punch bowls.
