This July, Aqua Restaurant Group are launching their newest restaurant Aqua Shard, located on the 31st floor of the iconic London building. The Hong Kong based organisation have 23 restaurants across Hong Kong, Beijing and London, and are clearly looking to expand their international reach. The first of their UK venues opened on Regent Street back in 2009. Aqua Shard will be able to seat 220 guests and will be open all day, offering breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner. The restaurant has been designed with a strong focus on two quintessential British commodities, gin and tea, to create an authentic theme throughout the entire venue. There will be a transitional division between two seating areas, which will offer panoramic views of the Thames and London’s skyline. The style of the restaurant’s interiors will radiate the character and the rich heritage of London, with Liberty-print banquettes complementing the modern physique of the building. Finally, the menu has been crafted to incorporate traditional British ingredients, sourced from carefully selected producers to create an intriguing and inventive menu.
