Cheating is an immoral way to get what one wants. It may be done in a form of bribery, cronyism, sleaze, nepotism, adultery, etc. In a nutshell, it has many forms; though, let us focus more on cheating in the form of adultery. Adultery is a form of sexual intercourse between a married individual with someone other than his/her spouse. Having sexual contact with other people isn’t only like sharing a cell phone accessory; it makes you susceptible in sharing all kinds of things including diseases. What’s worse is that the cheating partner may infect his/her spouse of Sexually Transmitted Infections (STI) when the cheated has no single clue of his/her partner’s adulterous acts. In this lieu, learn the most common STIs by checking the list below. 1. Chlamydia. This is a bacterial infection that may cause pelvic infections, which can result to serious, irreversible damage to the reproductive organs among women. 2. Gonorrhea. The same with Chlamydia, Gonorrhea is a bacterial infection that also causes pelvic infections. Plus, it can affect the anus, eyes, mouth, throat, and genitals. If the condition is unmanaged, it can be a serious threat to the woman’s capacity to have a baby. 3. Syphilis. Also a bacterial infection, Syphilis causes painful ulcers at the start. However, this infection progresses until it reaches the nervous system if left untreated. 4. Genital herpes. This is a viral infection that can easily be spread by sexual contact, which can cause recurring painful ulcers. 5. Hepatitis B or C. This viral infection is a disease of the liver. Whenever sexual contact is being consummated, secretions are passed onto one another. If it so happened that one of the parties is infected with hepatitis, the other is most likely to contract the infection. 6. Molluscum. This viral infection is transferred via direct contact that causes small bumps that appear anywhere on the surface of the skin. The viral agent can be transferred through sexual contact or just by casual touch. 7. HIV. Perhaps, HIV, the most dreaded among the STIs, is what people should watch out for. This viral infection attacks the immune system that may eventually lead to a full-blown AIDS. 8. Trichomonas. This bacterial infection causes women to secrete a smelly discharge from their genitals. Also, this causes lesions to appear surrounding the genitals that can be extremely pruritic. This infection can be easily cured; however, if left untreated, it increases the risk of a person to acquire HIV. It’s true that some diseases you may contract with your acts of lasciviousness and infidelity can be cured, but unlike replacement parts that can easily be installed into mobile phones, there’s no such thing that can change how people will see you. The social stigma associated with cheaters is just so terrible. Your credibility and your legacy is at stake in everything you do, so watch out and be careful, or better yet, be faithful to your partner.
