Hong Kong Travel Guide - Favorite Tourist Spots

Travel & Tourism
Wong Tai Sin Church is situated right above the Wong Tai Sin MTR Station. It's the most renowned church in HK. It is known for answering requests. There are several Taoism proponents who assumed that lighting incense, kneeling in front of the primary altar and make a wish by shaking the bamboo sticks within the bamboo holder, and the chosen one will drop out of the holder. This process is commonly known as 'kau cim'. After that, you've got to collect a bit of paper that shows the number of your bamboo stick, and you'll approach any of the soothsayers to get the interpretation done. There's a street of stalls that typically pander to a bunch of fortunetellers or soothsayers, and it's possible to get your interpretations done there with a price said. It looks to be pretty correct to me as I have once gotten my interpretation of the bamboo stick done, and as well as palm reading. Do take note at in the lunar 8 month and Chinese New Year will be crowded as the previous is the month where Wong Tai Sin's birthday falls on, and it's to be specific, it's the 23rd of the 8 Month. Folk thought that on Chinese New Year's Eve, one must offer their incense sticks on the stroke of midnight in order to pray for good fortune and better luck and safety for themselves and their families. The church has been re-furnished and saved its superb design, statues, carvings and even the wall paintings. It's a not-too-miss place to go to visit in HK. Tsim Sha Tsui Clock Tower is a serious landmark in HK. It's the only remnant of the first location of the formal Kowloon Station or often referred to as the Kowloon-Canton Train line. The position of this clock is close to the Victoria Harbor, so it's a really famous tourism spot where travelers like to take pictures with this important remnant. This design is detectable from a distance as it is built with red bricks and granite, and you can reach the apex of the clock tower by climbing up the wooden staircase from internal. The Tsim Sha Tsui Clock Tower has been announced as monument since 1990; however it is at present closed for upkeep. You can catch the train to the Tsim Sha Tsui MTR station, from Exit E, you walk south along the Nathan Road until you reach the Salisbury Road, and you turn right to the Star Ferry and turn left again. Once you have walked passed the Star Ferry Pier, you'll see the clock tower in front of you. This clock tower has given to the impressive harbor view and it particularly stood out from the opposite bank due to its bright red brick. Times Square is the most renowned and favored major mall in Causeway Bay on the HK Island. It is opened since 1994. This site was formerly used as a tram depot for the HK Tramways. It is legendary for its improvement in the HK architectural history as it is called the vertical mall. This is basically because of the dearth of space in HK and it's a different idea from the western malls that are typically low-rise. There are 9 storeys of retail spaces and due to this, it draws global enormous luxury brands creating their flagships in this shopping center. This mall is at present the prime property in the guts of Causeway Bay and the spaces there are highly sought. As it is located in a well-liked and central location, the human traffic is very high. The Causeway Bay MTR station right below it, where there's a passage way that links to the shopping center. The mall comprises not only luxury brands but also major departmental stores like Marks and Spencer, to fast-food outlets, oratories, electronic stores and cafeterias. It is undeniably the best place to hang for youths to office women and travelers. Times Square was even featured in one of the Hollywood films Lara Croft Crypt Raider: The Cradle of Life.
